Almost 4000 people competed in this year’s event to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.  This year brings the 10km event to it’s 31st competition, and has seen more than million pounds raised for the cause. Amongst the runners was a surprising number of friends and family – not to mention SuperKick’s very own Jeff McConville, who after a prolonged time spent away from competitive athletics, made his return to long distance running. He completed the course in a brilliant 48 minutes – but this was some 20 minutes behind Ethiopian Edao Weily who not only won the event, but is thought to have set a new course record.

The competition was supposed to be started by Christine Hamilton but after a very lengthy speech, was ultimately started by a man called Derek – presumably because he had the gun and needed to get rid of the bullet…

SuperKick Media was proud to be asked by New Scene Wrestling, currently one of the hottest pro wrestling promotions in the UK, to supply a range of promotional artwork for their upcoming events.  In addition to event posters, we supplied supplementary announcement artwork highlighting upcoming matches, to be used on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as souvenir style ticket stub designs.

Seen below is the poster we designed for their June show entitled “NSW Futures” featuring WWE’s latest signing, MVK Valkabious, as well as Dead Man Running/Anuvahood star and owner of the largest biceps in Britain, Tiny Iron. Also set to appear is the fantastic Rockstar Spud and CZW’s Jonathan Gresham.

The above pictures were taken at the “Party in the Park” in Mary Stevens Park Stourbridge, where NSW performed two open-air shows to a thousand-strong audience during the course of the day. SuperKick’s very own Leo Orbison was Master of Ceremonies who described the event as “a wonderful opportunity for the local community and all of us from NSW and Superkick Media to engage with fans that were eager to see what we had to offer.”

“NSW Futures” is Saturday 23rd June at the Collingwood Centre, Great Barr, B43 7NF. Tickets are available online from theticketsellers.co.uk - just £9 for adults, £7 for kids and a family is £28.

This weekend we met up with the fantastic Adam & beautiful Lauren in Ickford, Bucks, to take care of their wedding reception disco.

Arriving just in time to see the fish & chip van catering service (best idea ever!), we quickly set up during dinner and took control shortly after the speeches.  It was a really fun night and as one guest was overheard saying, we “nailed it”!

It was a great evening full of brilliant people who partied the night away. Thanks to Ref Paz for his help & amazing rock music skills, and to the Groom’s mum Sharon for booking us!
